I admit that I do watch a fair amount of TV. But thanks to my DVR, I watch only the stuff I want. I am a big fan of Reality Dating shows, my favorite of all time being “Blind Date”.
Blind Date has been canceled for many years now, so I have resorted to watching “Celebreality” TV on Vh1.
Anyway, I was reading my favorite blog Dlisted and saw that Megan from Rock of Love is going to get her own show.
This is wrong on so many levels. This woman is selfish, manipulative, shallow and a horrible representation of a human being. I feel bad for saying that, its just really hard for me to understand how a person given the opportunity to have a voice, would portray herself the way she has. I understand its not really “Reality” and that a lot of the shows are heavily produced. I am just very disappointed in Vh1 in their decision to continue showing women like her who harm the way we are perceived.
With all the interesting people and events happening in the world today, they choose to continue enforcing negative stereotypes of women. Needless to say, I will not be watching this show and am considering if I will watch anything else on Vh1.
For now I have old episodes of Blind Date on Youtube to keep me happy.
