I had the complete honor of being in Toronto for Good For Her’s Fifth Annual Feminist Porn Awards this past weekend. The days spent there were life changing, inspiring, and a definite high point in my life. There was so much love, respect, positivity and support flowing through the air! I soaked up all this energy with every cell in my body and it will keep me going for a whole year. I have decided that I must return next year for a refill!
I felt so blessed because I was fortunate to spend lots of time with my close San Francisco friends Courtney Trouble and Jiz Lee. We shared a taxi ride to the awards, where we nervously chatted about the awards and the excitement to come. The one thing that seemed to calm our mutual nervousness, was our mutual admiration and LOVE for each other. We agreed that we were already winners because we had each other, and we are all blessed by the people in our lives. The First Annual Back of the Cab Awards ceremony took place right then and there and my acceptance speech follows:
To Courtney Trouble, I thank you for putting so much faith in me. I thank you for believing in me and trusting me with your creative vision. You have pushed me to grow as a performer, by being able to push my own creative boundaries in your films. The glitter suicide scene and when I found Billy Castro’s dead body scene were times where I completely trusted you as a director. I wanted to make you proud, and by wanting to do a good job for you, I was able to evolve. Thank you! You and I have clicked on so many levels since we met at the AVNs more than a year ago. I am honored to have been included in your work and I can only imagine how much more we will grow together! Thinking of our future together excites me because I know you will continue to be a significant part in my life and career. I am honored to have you as a friend and in my life. I love you!

In a few hours, I will be boarding a plane on my way to the Fifth Annual Feminist Porn Awards in Toronto!!! I am super excited because I have always been a fan of these awards and dreamed of attending since I started performing 4 years ago.
