Opium Den

I had the pleasure of shooting with Coop and Skye Shelly a few days ago. We were in Coop’s Opium Den, a room filled with pillows and ornate tapestries from around the world. Needless to say the setting was very romantic and added a sensual feel to the shoot and the pictures as well.

Here are some of my faves:

My First Art Show!

Filed under: Fatty D, My Life, Friends, Party — FattyD at 8:35 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2008

I have been taking my own pictures for about 2 years now, focusing on the people around me and projects I have worked on. I am so happy that I have been included in the show “Automolove” at Rick Castro’s Antebellum Gallery.

The opening is this Saturday and along with myself, the show also includes Carlos Batts, my good friends Dave Naz and Steve Diet Goedde and many more.

If you are in the LA area, please stop by because this show is really cool (and so are my pictures!)

“Fatty D. Dancing” by Beatrice

Filed under: Fatty D, My Life, Movies, Friends — FattyD at 10:08 pm on Sunday, April 27, 2008

The other day, my friend and super talented artist Beatrice Neumann invited me to a special private rehearsal of my very favorite band, Portishead. It has been 10 years since their last album and since I’ve seen them. It was a magical show and one of the best times of my life!

We loved the show so much and even got to go backstage and meet some of the band members before getting kicked out by asshole security guards. Then we went outside and started harassing the guys selling bacon wrapped hot dogs. Poor guys!

Later we went to Beatrice’s studio. We were filled with so much energy and inspiration from the show, we filmed some footage of me dancing. She put the footage together and its an amazing video!!
