Last year was truly amazing because it was my first time attending. For me, the FPAs are such a magical event because you are surrounded with like minded artists who have similar goals with their work as you do. It is always nice to have your hard work celebrated, but it takes on a much more significant meaning when you are recognized by peers whose work and message you respect and share. I came back from Toronto last year with a renewed spirit and drive to continue on.
“The nominees for the 2011 Good For Her Feminist Porn Awards continue to strive to provide erotic entertainment that is smart, sexy, and appreciates women as viewers.” This year I am in FIVE films that have been recognized by Good For Her: Artcore
Her Little Secret
Roulette Toronto
Sola
Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex 2
I am also truly grateful to Eden Fantasys for sponsoring Carlos’ and my trip this year. I will be holding three contests in honor of the FPAs and my trip to Toronto the week before the trip (April 4th-8th) the week of the FPAs (April 11th-15th) and the week after the trip (April 18th-22nd).
I will ask a question here on my blog and on my Twitter and you will have a chance to win a $50 Gift Card to EdenFantasys! I will announce the questions soon so please check back.

You can read about SOLA here. It is a 45 minute film that features five solo scenes of me fucking myself in some gorgeous locations. The film is directed by Carlos Batts, so it is done in his distinct artistic style with great music. Check out the SOLA photo gallery.
Mark your calenders and join me and my co-star Drew Deveaux along with ArtCore’s Director Carlos Batts in celebrating the creation and release of ARTCORE!

It is so wonderfully exciting that ARTCORE has gotten so many great things said about it so far! This film was created out of pure love and expression and is the third film in a series by Carlos Batts and I. In this series we have documented and shared our lives, photo shoots, explored our creative process, and collaboratively expressed sexuality with our peers and friends.
The first in the series was AlterEgo, then Voluptuous Life and now ARTCORE. I prefer to think of these movies as Art Films with sex in them, as opposed to a “artsy porn”.
I am very thankful for the support and comprehension of this film by others!
DID YOU KNOW…. You can order an ARTCORE DVD from me, right here on my site (look to the bottom left of your screen) AND you can watch it on demand right now??? You really should do it! This is truly a unique film which stars Drew DeVeaux, Courtney Trouble, Kelly Shibari, Damali Dares, and Hoodman!
HotMovies.com and HotMoviesForHer.com have the exclusive on this movie as you can read on their blog and on AVN as well.
As with SOLA, if you purchase the DVD from me, I will send you a little something special!
I recently attended the AEE convention in Las Vegas, where I did a signing for HotMovies.com as well as for Dream Pleasure Tours. The weekend was lots of fun bonding with good friends, spending time with fans and making new connections. I was nominated for “Crossover Star of the Year” and “Dangerous Curves” was nominated for Best Specialty Release – Other Genre (whatever that means!) Neither of us won an award, but I felt like a winner, just being acknowledged for my hard work.
While I was at the HotMovies.com booth, Carlos and I were briefly interviewed for HotMoviesForHer.com, where we discuss our NEW film, Artcore. We talk about our inspirations, message of the film and why we love working together:
I often hear how porn degrades women, and my response to that is that I felt MUCH MORE degraded working in an office as a receptionist than I have ever felt in porn. As a matter of fact, I’ve never felt degraded in porn. I have also read ignorant rants such as this one from a blogger: “It’s a great job for someone who is dumb, unambitious, and devoid of sexuality. In fact, the only way you can do “sex work” (as naïve feminists like to call it) is to have no sex left in you.” WRONG!!!
Opinions like the one above, are the main reason that for the past year I have been interviewing my friends for a documentary I am directing called The Women I Know. I have wanted to create this documentary for years, and have (finally) been gathering interviews. I have had the honor and pleasure of interviewing my friends and peers: Syd Blakovich, Kelly Shibari, Dylan Ryan, Jiz Lee, Courtney Trouble, and Oriana aka Ashley Blue.
I am doing this documentary because some of the most interesting, genuine, sincere, driven women I have met have also been adult performers and/or working in the sex industry. I am so tired of people recycling old ideas and projecting their opinions on why they think we choose sex work. I have read countless opinions about our lives and what people think our motivations are. They often create these false views on us which are judgmental and entirely inaccurate.
We are not victims; we are doing this by choice and having a whole lot of fun while doing it. We are not damaged or unambitious or destroying our lives. We are defining and in control of our sexuality in our own terms.
I hope to interview more because there are so many inspiring women I have met, worked with, admire, and learned from. I plan on interviewing performers, sex educators, and directors who are all female and creating sex positive work. I strongly believe in this project and know that it will be powerful because the women featured are powerful!
